To identify and describe familiar settings.
To use a familiar setting as the basis of my writing.

In Year 2 this week, we will be learning;

To subtract using the method of decomposition.
To find the difference between two numbers.

Literacy

This week in Year 1, we are learning to:

To use “bossy verbs” and will refer to them as imperative verbs too;
To write instructions in order;
To sequence pictures in order.

Mathematics

This week in Year 1, we are learning:

To use ordinal terms;
To count backwards from a given number;
To double numbers.
