Mathematics

This week in Year 1, we are learning:

To order 2 x tables correctly;
To compare weights;
To order objects from tallest to shortest.

Literacy

In Year 2 this week, we will be learning;

To identify the features of Non-Fiction texts.
To research and plan for writing our own Non-Fiction text.

Mathematics

In Year 2 this week, we will be learning;

To use the inverse operation to find the missing number.
To add and subtract numbers accurately.

Literacy

This week in Year 1, we are learning to:

To recite a rhyme;
To perform a poem;
To form letters correctly on the line.

Mathematics

This week in Year 1, we are learning:

To name 2D shapes and talk about their properties;
To name 3D shapes;
To recognise these shapes in everyday items.

To be able to use the inverse operation for number bonds to 20.

To sequence and write a set of instructions.

Mathematics

In Year 2 this week, we will be learning;

To know that a 2 digit number is made up of tens and ones. E.G. 47 = 40 + 7
To find 10 more and 10 less than a number.
To add amounts of money up to 30p.

To use phonics to match words with pictures;
To describe a setting.

To add two numbers using cubes;
To write number sentences;
